ACER Aspire One 522 - Full Multimedia, Fast Processing and Cheap Notebook

After the presence of Acer Aspire 4253 with AMD's APU first, Acer is now re-presenting APU AMD-based solutions. This product was named Aspire One 522. This time, the APU is used is AMD C-50 and the category is a netbook. What? Netbook? Yes, this is AMD's netbook is powered APU. What are the benefits? Let us refer to the following reviews.

AMD processors used in the Aspire One 522 is one of the first Fusion processors from AMD, C-50. Fusion processors are no results for the merger of the processor and VGA. Yes, AMD C-50 is a combination of an AMD dual-core processor with a VGA AMD (Radeon HD 6250). AMD said the results of the combined CPU and VGA as the APU (Accelerated Processor Unit).

AMD C-50 is the APU is designed for netbooks and even tablets. APU has 2 1 GHz core speed. Do not get me wrong. Although only 1 GHz, C-50 has a working system like a modern processor. C-50 using the method of execution out-of-order, where orders can be done based on priority and the most appropriate sequence to ensure the process runs as quickly as possible. This is very different than the Atom which uses in-order method, where all orders will be done in sequence, depending on whichever is the earlier orders given. In the multi-tasking, C-50 should be able to offer better speed.

Aspire One 522: The best HD Multimedia

Availability of HDMI ports and display with HD resolution (1280 × 720) is the indication that Acer Aspire One 522 promises the ability to play full HD video (1080p) in any format. Graphic capabilities are also promising some advantages if you use software that is able to take advantage of the graphics system to improve performance. For example, Windows 7 will work better, because of the looks, the Windows 7 was designed to take advantage of graphics capability, not just the processor.

Based on the results of these tests, AMD C-50 to help the Acer Aspire One 522 is to obtain performance on Atom N550 (Dual Core). Of course, AMD C-50 has the performance is still below AMD's E-350 (Acer Aspire 4253). Here is the difference in performance more detail (on a netbook with Atom Dual Core).

Apparently, though Atom Dual Core processor has 2 cores and 4 threads, a netbook with this processor is still far behind in all aspects of testing, when compared with AMD C-50.

Play Video Full HD

Play Video High Definition (HD) is a difficult thing done netbook. Running video 1080p (Full HD) is impossible. In fact, some low-cost notebooks were having trouble running the Full HD video. What about the Acer Aspire One 522?

Acer Aspire One 522 is not experiencing any problems at all in running Full HD video in any format. During the player you can take advantage of available VGA (DXVA), you can play any movie available on the market today without a problem.

If you have a fairly good Internet bandwidth, Acer Aspire One 522 was even allow you to stream video Full HD (1080p) via Youtube smoothly.

From the experiments, it was found that the Acer Aspire One 522 was able to survive up to 375 minutes or about 6 hours 15 minutes. Not many netbooks and notebooks that could compete with him. Keep in mind, a notebook or netbook claiming able to live 4 hours, usually lasts only 2.5 to 3 hours in this test.
